Overview
Katy is a seasoned consultant with over 18 years of experience working with educational institutions and other employers. She has extensive experience helping clients navigate civil rights and other types of misconduct complaints at both the K-12 and post-secondary level. She regularly serves as a third-party investigator and decision maker for complaints of student and employee misconduct, with particular expertise in cases involving sexual harassment under Title IX. As the head of a successful high school mock trial/moot court program, Katy has a unique ability to relate to children and young adults, which serves her well in investigating complaints involving students.
Katy regularly provides training sessions on a wide range of topics including student discipline, trauma-informed practices, investigation techniques, and compliance with education and disability laws.
