Overview
Leah Thorsen collaborates with her team and clients in the procurement of Ohio public design and construction contracts, bringing her dual experience in law and architecture. She acts as the Owner’s Representative for clients, representing them in a variety of construction matters support. Leah is well-versed in the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code, particularly as they relate to construction transactions.
As a former law clerk with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, Leah supported various projects undertaken by agencies, school districts, and cultural centers. She reviewed, interpreted, and amended Ohio public design and construction contracts and prepared legal documents, including correspondence, memoranda, claim evaluations, mediation statements, and commission resolutions. In this role, Leah also provided support throughout the claims and dispute process.
